2. Intended users and disclaimer

This software is intended solely for use by individuals who are accredited members of a recognised professional medical physics or health physics organisation, such as the AAPM, IPEM, ACPSEM, IOMP or CAMPEP. Users must possess specialist physics knowledge in radiation shielding design and the three-dimensional behaviour of radiation scatter.

The simulations are limited to the gamma emissions from the isotopes listed in the application and are modelled in a 2D plane. The results are based on simplified broad-beam attenuation data and are intended for indicative purposes only. The software does not account for all variables associated with complex source geometries or barrier-scatter interactions, and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for radiation protection decisions.

It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that all designs and assessments derived from this software are validated against recognised standards and reviewed by competent, experienced, qualified medical physics professionals.
